He went into scrapping of vessel country craft & coastal vessel dum barges and coastal vessel the scrapping process was with the help of chisel and hammer. In 1964 he introduced his son Mr. Melaram he started scrapping with the help of new ideas and scrapped bigger tonnages namely vessels belonging to Ship Corporation of India Ltd.
